In 1994 Christina Lim, a trained pharmacist and MBA graduate from Singapore founded Ocean Health Lab Inc in California with a vision to improve the quality of life and self esteem of family members and friends, using her professional training and experience to find the right formulation to alleviate common health complaints and skin problems.
Christina returned to Singapore to build the Asian chapter of Ocean Health. In 1995 Ocean Healthcare (S) Pte Ltd was born with 2 staff members and “Minus Fat”, a diet management supplement. The rights for distribution, and subsequently ownership of the skincare range, Therapeutic Dermatologic Formula (TDF) came soon after.
Within the last 15 years, Ocean Healthcare has grown in leaps and bounds, to a staff strength of almost 50 and a product range to match. Ocean Health is now present in most Asian markets, Australia and New Zealand.
From a physical presence in major retail stores, departmental stores, hospital pharmacies, polyclinics and Chinese medical halls, Ocean Health is ready to move into the cyber arena to meet the needs of a generation comfortable with online marketing as their preferred shopping mode. We are proud to be able to meet the needs of customers via our new e-shop.
To this day, Ocean Health prides itself on having built a reputation for safe, effective, quality products that remain affordable to the man-in-the-street. Feedback from customers are highly valued and seriously looked into, with product exchange or return policies effectively in place to ensure that customers benefit from the Ocean Health purchases they have made. Long term customer satisfaction is key and regular public education is organised as Ocean Health believes in the importance of taking preventive measures to preserve quality of life. In providing regular public education, Ocean Health aims to help the man-in-the-street avert potential suffering and high medical costs.
In all that Ocean Health provides, Christina Lim’s personal conviction remains its main guiding principle—“Only if it is good enough for my family and me, is it good enough for my customers”. With that, Ocean Health lives up to its claim as “Quality You Can Trust.”
